National Affairs

• भारत की Q1 GDP Growth 7.8% — वित्त वर्ष 2026-27 की पहली तिमाही (अप्रैल–जून 2026) में भारत की Real GDP Growth 7.8% रही। इस दौरान Real GVA में 8.2%, निवेश में 11.9%, घरेलू खपत में 7.1% और exports में 12.0% की वृद्धि दर्ज की गई।
• PM Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana की समीक्षा — केंद्रीय कृषि मंत्री शिवराज सिंह चौहान ने योजना की प्रगति की समीक्षा की। यह योजना कम कृषि उत्पादकता वाले 100 जिलों को लक्षित करती है और 36 Central Schemes के convergence पर आधारित है।
• Watershed Development Component – PMKSY 2.0 — WDC-PMKSY 2.0 के तहत 1,220 projects को मंजूरी दी गई है, जो 52.93 लाख hectares क्षेत्र को cover करते हैं। इसका उद्देश्य water harvesting, groundwater recharge और irrigation efficiency को बढ़ाना है।
• Namami Gange का ‘Jan Ganga’ पहल — Namami Gange Programme में Jan Ganga pillar के माध्यम से community participation को बढ़ावा दिया जा रहा है। इसमें cleanliness drives, plantation campaigns और volunteer networks के जरिए Ganga basin में public participation बढ़ाने पर जोर है।

💻 Science & Technology

• C-DOT ने 14 Indigenous Quantum Products लॉन्च किए — Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT) ने secure communication networks को quantum-computing threats से सुरक्षित करने के लिए 14 indigenous quantum products प्रस्तुत किए। ये मुख्य रूप से Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) और Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) से संबंधित हैं।
• Quantum Technology का महत्व — QKD quantum principles का उपयोग करके secure key exchange करता है, जबकि PQC ऐसे cryptographic algorithms विकसित करता है जो future quantum computers के attacks के विरुद्ध अधिक resistant हों।

🛡️ Defence & Security

• AVM Shakti Sharma ने रचा इतिहास — Air Vice Marshal Shakti Sharma Indian Defence Forces की पहली non-medical woman officer बनीं, जिन्होंने Air Vice Marshal/equivalent two-star rank प्राप्त की। 1 सितंबर 2026 को उन्होंने Air Headquarters में Assistant Chief of the Air Staff (Education) का पद संभाला।
• Air Marshal K.A.A. Sanjeeb ने संभाला नया पद — Air Marshal K.A.A. Sanjeeb ने 1 सितंबर 2026 को Indian Air Force में Air Officer-in-Charge Maintenance का पदभार संभाला। उन्होंने National War Memorial पर wreath-laying भी की।

🌍 International Affairs

• 26th SCO Summit — Bishkek — प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic में आयोजित 26वें Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit में भाग लिया। Summit में regional security, connectivity, trade और cooperation जैसे मुद्दे प्रमुख रहे।
• PM Modi–Iran President Meeting — प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने SCO Summit के sidelines पर Iran के राष्ट्रपति Masoud Pezeshkian के साथ bilateral meeting की। दोनों नेताओं ने bilateral relations और क्षेत्रीय परिस्थितियों पर चर्चा की।
• India–Afghanistan Joint Working Group — भारत और Afghanistan के बीच Trade, Commerce and Investment पर Joint Working Group की virtual meeting 1 सितंबर को हुई। इसमें customs cooperation, visa facilitation, banking, pharmaceuticals, agriculture और cargo connectivity जैसे मुद्दों पर चर्चा हुई।

💰 Banking & Economy

• RBI ने Suman Ray को Executive Director नियुक्त किया — Suman Ray ने 1 सितंबर 2026 से RBI के Executive Director (ED) के रूप में पदभार संभाला। उन्हें DICGC और Premises Department की जिम्मेदारी दी गई है।
• India का Current Account Deficit बढ़ा — Q1 FY2026-27 में भारत का Current Account Deficit (CAD) $4.2 billion, यानी GDP का 0.5%, रहा। पिछले वर्ष इसी तिमाही में CAD $3.4 billion यानी 0.4% था।
• Remittances में वृद्धि — Q1 FY2026-27 में overseas Indians से मिलने वाली private transfer receipts $42.9 billion रहीं।

🏭 Semiconductor & Industry

• Semicon 2.0 Framework — सरकार ने India Semiconductor Mission 2.0 (Semicon 2.0) के operational framework को आगे बढ़ाया। इसका उद्देश्य भारत में semiconductor value chain को मजबूत करना है—जिसमें chip design, wafer fabrication, advanced packaging, equipment, materials, R&D और talent development शामिल हैं।
• Semicon 2.0 का प्रस्तावित outlay — scheme का कुल outlay लगभग ₹1,27,500 करोड़ है। इसका लक्ष्य semiconductor ecosystem में domestic manufacturing और supply-chain capabilities को बढ़ाना है।

🏦 Insurance

• LIC ने दो नई Insurance Plans लॉन्च कीं — Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) ने अपने 70th Anniversary के अवसर पर LIC Bima Platinum (Plan 770) और LIC Jeevan Raksha (Plan 894) नामक दो non-linked, non-participating insurance plans लॉन्च कीं।

📡 Communication & Digital India

• India–Afghanistan Digital/Trade Cooperation — bilateral JWG में व्यापारिक प्रक्रियाओं को आसान बनाने के लिए customs, banking, regulatory coordination और cargo connectivity पर focus किया गया।
• Indian Standard Time Framework — अगस्त में notified Legal Metrology (Indian Standard Time) Rules, 2026 के तहत IST को legal, administrative और commercial purposes के लिए single time reference बनाने की व्यवस्था की गई है। Rules publication के 180 दिन बाद लागू होंगे।

🌱 Environment

• 4th Indo-German Environment Forum — भारत और Germany के बीच 4th Indo-German Environment Forum New Delhi में आयोजित हुआ, जिसमें climate action, resilience, resource efficiency और sustainable development पर bilateral cooperation को मजबूत करने पर चर्चा हुई।

• National Nutrition Week — 1–7 सितंबर — भारत में National Nutrition Week 1 से 7 सितंबर तक मनाया जाता है। इसका उद्देश्य balanced diet, nutrition awareness और healthy lifestyle के प्रति जागरूकता बढ़ाना है।
