🏛️ National Affairs

• National Teachers’ Awards 2026 — राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मु ने 5 सितंबर को Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi में National Teachers’ Awards 2026 प्रदान किए। कुल 82 educators को सम्मानित किया गया, जिनमें 48 School Teachers, 21 Higher Education Teachers और 13 Teachers from Ministry of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (MoSDE) शामिल हैं।
• राष्ट्रीय शिक्षक दिवस — भारत में 5 सितंबर को Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan की जयंती के अवसर पर Teachers’ Day मनाया जाता है। वे भारत के प्रथम उपराष्ट्रपति (1952–1962) और द्वितीय राष्ट्रपति (1962–1967) थे।

⚖️ Polity & Judiciary

• District Judges की Retirement Age बढ़ाने का निर्देश — Supreme Court ने 7 राज्यों—छत्तीसगढ़, कर्नाटक, मध्य प्रदेश, महाराष्ट्र, सिक्किम, तमिलनाडु और पश्चिम बंगाल को judicial officers की retirement age 60 से बढ़ाकर 62 वर्ष करने के लिए service rules में संशोधन का निर्देश दिया। 60 वर्ष की आयु पर संबंधित High Court द्वारा suitability assessment की शर्त रखी गई है।
• Judicial Pendency — यह फैसला district judiciary में बड़ी संख्या में pending cases और experienced judicial officers को बनाए रखने की आवश्यकता के संदर्भ में महत्वपूर्ण है। Supreme Court के अनुसार subordinate courts में लंबित मामलों का आंकड़ा 5.18 करोड़ से अधिक है।

💰 Banking & Finance

• भारत के Forex Reserves ने नया रिकॉर्ड बनाया — 28 अगस्त 2026 को समाप्त सप्ताह में भारत के foreign exchange reserves $11.475 billion बढ़कर $740.803 billion के नए record high पर पहुंच गए। Foreign Currency Assets में भी $9.337 billion की वृद्धि हुई।
• LIC को ICICI Bank में 9.99% तक हिस्सेदारी खरीदने की RBI मंजूरी — RBI ने Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) को ICICI Bank में aggregate holding 9.99% तक बढ़ाने की अनुमति दी। यह acquisition RBI approval letter की तारीख से एक वर्ष के भीतर पूरा करना होगा।

🧬 Science & Biotechnology

• BIO-NIVESH लॉन्च — केंद्रीय मंत्री डॉ. जितेंद्र सिंह ने biotechnology innovators और investors के बीच बेहतर connection बनाने के लिए BIO-NIVESH platform लॉन्च किया। इसका उद्देश्य promising biotechnology innovations में private capital लाना और startups को scale-up एवं commercialisation में मदद करना है।
• RDI Fund और BIRAC — ₹1 लाख करोड़ Research, Development and Innovation (RDI) Fund के अंतर्गत BIRAC को biotechnology और allied sectors के लिए Second-Level Fund Manager बनाया गया है। BIO-NIVESH के inaugural edition में 20 biotechnology/deep-tech startups और लगभग 50 investors शामिल हुए।

🌱 Environment & Biodiversity

• National Biodiversity Authority का ₹200 करोड़ ABS Milestone — National Biodiversity Authority (NBA) के cumulative Access and Benefit-Sharing (ABS) disbursement ने ₹200 करोड़ का आंकड़ा पार किया। 5 सितंबर को NBA ने ₹8.23 करोड़ की ABS राशि 27 State Biodiversity Boards और 5 UT Biodiversity Councils के लिए sanction की।
• ABS राशि किन फसलों से संबंधित है? — नवीनतम राशि Bitter Gourd, Okra, Chilli और Onion जैसे biological resources के research एवं commercial utilisation से प्राप्त हुई। Individual source communities की पहचान संभव न होने पर वितरण crop cultivation area के आधार पर किया गया।
• Sikkim में GLOF Risk — Sikkim ने 40 high-hazard glacial lakes की पहचान की है। इनमें 16 Category A, 2 Category B और 9 Category C में हैं; Shako Chho को विशेष रूप से high-risk lake के रूप में चिन्हित किया गया है।

🌍 International Affairs

• Rangpur-Sivasagar Historic Ensemble — Assam के Rangpur-Sivasagar Historic Ensemble, जो Ahom Kingdom के राजनीतिक एवं ceremonial centre से संबंधित है, को UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List में शामिल किया गया। यह Assam की Ahom heritage को वैश्विक पहचान दिलाने की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण कदम है।
• UN का “Correct the Map” Resolution — United Nations General Assembly ने world maps में geographical distortions को कम करने के उद्देश्य से “Correct the Map” resolution को अपनाया। इसमें Equal Earth projection को बढ़ावा दिया गया, जो विशेष रूप से Africa के वास्तविक आकार को बेहतर तरीके से दर्शाता है।

⚖️ BRICS & International Judicial Cooperation

• BRICS Chief Justices’ Forum 2026 — New Delhi में आयोजित BRICS Chief Justices’ Forum में CJI Justice Surya Kant ने judicial cooperation को मजबूत करने पर जोर दिया। उन्होंने BRICS देशों के बीच arbitration और mediation के लिए common platform की आवश्यकता पर बल दिया।
• Forum में AI and Judiciary, Cross-Border Enforcement of Arbitral Awards और Mediation in International Commercial Disputes जैसे विषयों पर चर्चा हुई। CJI Surya Kant ने BRICS को एक “living Nalanda University” के रूप में विकसित करने की बात कही।

🛡️ Defence

• AK-203 के लिए Indigenous Ammunition Supply Agreement — Adani Defence & Aerospace ने Indo-Russian Rifles Pvt. Ltd. (IRRPL) के साथ 5-year agreement किया। इसके तहत Adani Defence भारत में निर्मित AK-203 assault rifles के लिए 7.62×39 mm indigenous ammunition की आपूर्ति करेगा।

🏹 Sports

• World Archery Para Series 2026 — Ahmedabad में 5–9 सितंबर 2026 तक Hyundai World Archery Para Series का तीसरा stage आयोजित हो रहा है। यह भारत में इस international para-archery event की पहली hosting है। इसमें 19 देशों के 109 para archers भाग ले रहे हैं।
• India Women vs Pakistan Women — Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026 में भारत ने पाकिस्तान को 7 wickets से हराया। पाकिस्तान की टीम 55 runs पर all out हुई, जो उसका सबसे कम T20I total है। भारत की ओर से Shree Charani और Prema Rawat ने 3-3 wickets लिए।
