• BRICS OPST Working Group की 8वीं बैठक Goa में आयोजित हुई
  BRICS Working Group on Ocean and Polar Science and Technology (OPST) की 8वीं बैठक 12–14 अगस्त 2026 तक Goa में आयोजित हुई। इसकी मेजबानी National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research (NCPOR) ने की।

🏛️ State Affairs

• Rajasthan Cabinet ने Draft Uniform Civil Code Bill, 2026 को मंजूरी दी
  Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma की अध्यक्षता में Rajasthan Cabinet ने Draft Rajasthan UCC Bill, 2026 को मंजूरी दी। इसमें marriage, divorce, inheritance, maintenance और live-in relationships से जुड़े मामलों में समान प्रावधानों का प्रस्ताव है, जबकि tribal communities के rituals और customs को इसके दायरे से बाहर रखा गया है।

🛡️ Defence & Exercises

• भारत और Thailand के बीच Exercise MAITREE 2026 का आयोजन
  Exercise MAITREE 2026 भारतीय सेना और Royal Thai Army के बीच आयोजित Joint Bilateral Military Exercise है। 2026 में इसका 15वां संस्करण आयोजित किया जा रहा है, जिसका उद्देश्य interoperability, coordination और joint operational capability को बढ़ाना है।

🌍 International Affairs

• Colombia ने शक्तिशाली भूकंप के बाद Economic Emergency घोषित की
  Colombia के राष्ट्रपति Abelardo De La Espriella ने शक्तिशाली भूकंप के बाद relief, rehabilitation और reconstruction कार्यों को तेजी से आगे बढ़ाने के लिए economic emergency घोषित की।

💰 Banking & Finance

• Chandigarh बनेगा CBDC-based DBT का पहला पूर्ण रोलआउट करने वाला UT
  Chandigarh भारत का पहला Union Territory होगा जहां PMGKAY के तहत food subsidy के लिए CBDC-based Direct Benefit Transfer का full-fledged rollout किया जाएगा। इसके माध्यम से beneficiaries को Digital Rupee के जरिए subsidy पहुंचाई जाएगी।
